Polaris donated a RZR XP 900 to raffle in memory of Caleb Moore at the 2012 High Lifter Mud NationalsAt this years High Lifter Mud Nationals, Polaris donated a RZR XP 900 to raffle in memory of Caleb Moore. The unit was dressed with High Lifter wheels and tires, Pro Armor doors, a Kicker audio system and a Toyskinz Caleb Moore replica wrap. Fly gear provided gear for two people and Rockstar Energy Drink donated Rockstar for a year to the winner. With the Moore family in attendance, Colten Moore drew the winning ticket, who was Austin Hopkins of Kilgore, Texas. The raffle raised $14,400 for the Moore family. For this photo shoot, we pulled his UTV out of the garage - a jet-powered Polaris RZR- and rolled it near the street to start it up....during rush hour.I think its interesting to mention that it was Paul Stenders mother who got him hooked on racing. She used to take him out of school to go see car races. Pauls grandfather was a well-known car owner back in the 30s and 40s, and built everything from scratch, from blocks to engines. When Cecco bum-rushed the racing scene back in 1999, she was the catalyst that helped woods racing women all over the country focus their attention on the GNCC series. Ceccos accomplishments and friendly trackside manner have made her an immediate icon and ambassador for the sport, and shes won eight championships throughout her incredibly successful career. When the Raptor 700 first hit these shores back in 2006, it left a similar impression on the fans of open-class big-bore sport ATVs. Growing up together in the Anthracite Coal Region of Central Pennsylvania, Ive known Traci and her family for years. So when a fresh, new Yamaha Raptor 700R became the canvas for our ATV Rider Magazine build project, it was a no-brainer to set Traci up on a hot date with the finished product to test it out! As it turned out, Traci enjoyed thrashing our Raptor almost as much as I enjoyed shooting photos of her bludgeoning it. We give you a sneak peek at the 2013 Mystik Lubricants Terracross Championship Series.Story and photos by Andy Kawa If youre looking for some rough, muddy, bar banging action, dont miss this upcoming season of the Mystik Lubricants Terracross Championship. 2012 marked a successful first season of the rather brutal race series put together by Joe Duncan and his crew. With top name racers such as Doug Gust, Daryl Rath, Zac Zakowski, Rory Beckman and Chris Burandt, the racing action is top notch. Featuring both Utility ATV and UTV classes, racers must navigate the treacherous courses littered with logs, rocks, mud and jumps. "Digger" Doug Gust took home the UTV championship while Daryl Rath won the ATV championship; both nipping at each others heels all season The 2013 season is sure to bring about a shootout to see who can claim this years top rankings. Alongside the racing action, Speeding with Style will again accompany the Terracross Series. Top name freestyle riders such as brothers Jon and Derek Guetter, Michael Hurd, Adam Thene and more will come together to see who can throw down the fastest lap times while throwing down their biggest tricks. Jon Guetter will compete as the defending champion, but will surely be faced with some stiff competition in the 2013 season.
