39-story apartment tower proposed for Second and Pine in downtown Seattle

Equity Residential is proposing an apartment high-rise with 400 units at the northeast corner of Second Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Seattle, city records show.

Equity is applying for land-use and construction permits to build the 39-story building on what today is a surface parking lot due west of the Macy’s garage. Equity wants to include 2,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, four levels of underground parking and four levels of above-grade parking.
