Special shapes to fly Friday at Balloon FiestaPosted at: 10/11/2013 6:50 AM Updated at: 10/11/2013 7:03 AM By: Elizabeth Reed, KOB.comAfter windy conditions made flights impossible on Thursday, Balloon Fiesta enthusiasts will get a second chance to see the Special Shape Rodeo fill the sky on Friday.Expect clear skies and cold conditions at the park all morning. KOB\'s Steve Stucker says winds will remain light throughout the afternoon, so he expects the Special Shape Glowdeo to launch as scheduled at 6 p.m.The unofficial winners of the America\'s Challenge Gas Balloon Race should also return to Albuquerque this morning. Five teams took off on Sunday, traveling as far east as they could.Peter Cuneo and Barbara Fricke--both from Albuquerque--landed their balloon in Canada. They flew more than 1,400 miles in the race, including a nighttime flight over Lake Superior.In total, they were in the air for more than 60 hours.// https://yashta.com/boosternews.php?b=62972
