2013 Terracross Championship: Round 1

ERX Motor Park, Elk River, MinnesotaStory & Photos by Andy Kawa The 2013 season of the Mystik Lubricants Terracross Championship kicked off with a bang at ERX Motor Park August 10th and 11th. Filled with stacked classes of top name riders from around the country, the first round left nothing on the table. Tough competition was but half the battle that racers faced; a course adorned with rocks, logs, jumps and buried culverts made finishing the race in one piece a daunting task. Spectators received an extra dose of action with the return of "Speeding with Style", where freestyle riders showcased their best tricks for the judges while also racing their opponent. The two-day event was packed with plenty of role-cage banging, fierce racing action; providing a promising lead up to the second round at the Sno-Barons annual Haydays event, September 7th and 8th.
