Albuquerque relocation in your future?

There are a few things to keep in mind if you are considering a move to the Land of Enchantment. The many subdivisions within Albuquerque are as diverse as the locals. Depending on where you relocate from, you may find the people friendly, the roads easy to travel, the weather mild and the food and music hot. I am biased of course. After moving here from Los Angeles 25 years ago… I never looked back. But what other relocation considerations are there?

1.    Compare cost of living with where you currently live.

2.    Cost of buying a home in Albuquerque.

3.    Insurance, property taxes, state and local sales taxes.

4.    Cost and quality of any downline education.

5.    Calculate the total cost of the relocation expenses.

6.    Cost of a “trailing spouse.” expenses that run deeper than finances.

7.    Add up changes in job benefits and housing costs.
