Weve come across a number of home listings that inadvertently scare off potential buyers (crime scene tape, anyone?), but never have we seen a listing that seems to openly and deliberately do so -- until now.
This Detroit home, dubbed by our pals at Curbed as the "angriest listing of all time," lists quite matter-of-factly the ways in which it is undesirable. Some of its salient points include: "One of the beams has rotted." And then, "Be aware there is lead paint." Followed by, "It is a target [for] local criminals who the police wont arrest." And then theres the golden: "Only true Detroiters know how to live with [these] problems because they are familiar with it." How charming!
The owner does gently concede, however, that the home is "beautiful and historic" -- although we gather that most people wont be able to see past the jarring descriptions. But if it doesnt scare you off, the home can be all yours for $35,000. For this, though, we think thats too much.
