Target, Stop & Shop said to eye planned TD Garden tower

Possible ground-floor retail tenants Target and Stop & Shop are reportedly considering locations in Bostons North End, along a pedestrian mall proposed by the would-be developer of a new apartment tower.

In November, the Boston Business Journal reported the plan by developer AvalonBay and TD Garden owner Delaware North Cos. to build a 38-story apartment tower over North Station and the TD Garden.
