Metro Jacksonville building permits up 35 percent in 2012

Building permits for Metro Jacksonville in 2012 saw a big increase over previous years.

Building permits pulled were up more than 35 percent year-over-year, while 2009, 2010 and 2011 were largely stagnant.

There were 4,257 building permits pulled in 2012 in Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties, according to data from the Northeast Florida Builders Association.
