Closing The Real Estate Deal Can Be Tricky!

Many people don’t realize that when a purchase agreement to buy a house has been signed by both parties and it seems like the deal is done, things are just heating up! There are 3 deal busters looming in the dark that every buyer and seller should stay on top of to get a deal to closing.
Inspections – In real estate we call this “second round negotiations” If anything can go wrong it probably will at this key point. I recently was at an inspection for my sellers and the inspector caused (what he called) a fire by simply plugging his tester into an outlet. Fortunately, it was a CALM buyer. The electrician who came to repair the damage told us the inspector’s tool most likely caused the problem since the outlet was fine. Overly nit- picky buyers will usually cause a real estate transaction to crash at this stage. (read tomorrows blog for the 2nd thing to be aware of).
